My future plans
My future plans for the next few years are going to include performance practice, studying and teaching.
I have been building up my solo and chamber music repertoire very intensively since I started BMus (Bachelor of Music) studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2005. In the near future am going to try out various performance opportunities both as a soloist and chamber musician. My main goals include such venues as the Barbican Hall, Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, Cadogan Hall and others. I am also going to explore some high-standard international competitions like the London International Piano Competition (UK), Leeds International Piano competition (UK), Montreal International Musical Competition (Canada) and others.
Teaching the piano has always been one of my great passions. I find it very meaningful and exciting to pass the precious knowledge, which I gained through my training and playing experience, to somebody else. I am keen on my skills to be spread amongst the other people in order to “infect” as many people as possible with love for music.
I have been teaching the piano privately for more than six years now. In the near future I will be persistently trying to increase the number of my permanent students in order to be able to realize one of my greatest dreams - open a private music school. I am also very keen on organizing such activities as summer music camps, seminars and master classes not only for professionals, but everyone wishing to participate and find out more about piano music.
I have been doing a Student Associate Scheme at the Institute of Education of London, where I got fifteen days of a professional teacher’s training . I have also been set on a fifteen-day secondary school placement in London as a student associate to help in the Music Department and gain some more group-teaching experience. The training above was an introduction to the PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) courses, which I am going to start taking in 2010. I consider the qualification very important for my future teaching carrier as the PGCE course opens great opportunities of gaining the necessary knowledge and practical skills for becoming a recognized educator.
As regards my further music studies, I have already entered the Artist Masters-Performance (AIS Piano) at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I will be spending the next two years completing the Masters course in order to deepen my musical knowledge, strengthen performance skills and gain more artistic experience, which will enrich me as a pianist, musician, teacher and event organizer.
